May 1, 2024—Five Shaker Heights Schools students will play alongside pianist Lang Lang for a performance of '101 Pianists' on Friday, May 3, at the Cuyahoga County Community College (Tri-C) Metropolitan Campus Auditorium. '101 Pianists' is a community-centered event that showcases 100 young pianists selected from Northeast Ohio schools. The students will join Lang Lang for a unique master class and public performance that celebrates the beauty and social nature of the piano. 101 Pianists, the brainchild of Lang Lang, seeks to share classical music with children around the world and offer piano students a chance to perform as a group.
