The High School Guidance Department reports that Shaker seniors have done very well in the first round of early college admissions.
Colleges to which members of the Class of 2007 have been accepted early include Brown, Bucknell, Carnegie-Mellon, Colgate, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Hamilton, Harvard, Kenyon, Miami University, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, Pomona, Princeton, Purdue, Skidmore, Stanford, Tufts, Vassar, University of Vermont, Washington University, Wellesley, and Yale.
In recent years, early admissions have typically represented 10 percent to 15 percent of the class. Regular admission notifications will occur from early 2007 through late spring.
