PTO/District Calendar
The PTO/District Calendar was mailed to all families with children enrolled in the schools. This year, the calendar has a new format that we expect you'll find easy to use. The separate High School Calendar/Handbook has been phased out. The handbook is being published separately in a small format and any High School student who wants a PTO calendar may have one free of charge. Extra copies will be available at the schools, Administration Building, and Shaker Library for $6 starting the week of August 16.

These changes have saved countless hours of volunteer time and reduced the District's printing expenses by about $7,000.

Online Calendar
The online calendar contains important dates for the 2010-11 school year, such as performances, PTO events, and testing. All dates are subject to change, so check back periodically and watch your school bulletin for updates.

The information found on the online calendar can be downloaded to a CSV file and imported into some electronic calendar programs, e.g. Outlook. (Please consult the manual for your electronic calendar program to determine if it can import a CSV file.)

To download the calendar, start by clicking on the Calendar button on the main page of the shaker.org website. Once you reach the main menu, click on the calendar(s) you want to export. (To export multiple calendars, hold down the Ctrl key while you select.) Next, set the date parameters using pulldown menu, and choose a file type. Indicate that field headers should be included, then click Download. The CSV file that is created may be edited as you wish and saved to your computer before it is imported to an electronic calendar program.

At-a-Glance Calendars
These one-page calendars list vacations, holidays, conference days, and other special days during the school year. Please note that these calendars may change if the State of Ohio alters its mandated testing schedule or if it becomes necessary to schedule make-up instructional days due to school closings caused by severe weather or public calamity. Make-up days would be scheduled during spring vacation, on Good Friday, and/or the Professional Day at the end of the school year.
